Google Montréal
Technology, at Home with History
For Google’s new Montréal office, the city itself served as inspiration. Within the walls of a historic brick building in the city’s former publishing district, the client saw the opportunity to celebrate both Montréal's rich past and dynamic present.

Materials, details, biophilia, and original artwork interwoven through the office’s five floors are inspired by iconic Montréal neighbourhoods. Careful attention was paid to the flow of activity, acoustics, and visual stimulation, all of which informed a plan of deliberate ‘collision points’ for collaboration and quiet zones for focus. Additionally, this future-forward workspace offers thoughtfully programmed amenities for fitness, food and creativity – supporting and promoting healthy minds and healthy bodies.
This energetic new environment enables staff to work, unwind, and fuel up exactly the way they need to, when they need to. Combined with the hyper-local aesthetic, Google's new space does more than just provide a place to work, it provides a place to build community. All photos courtesy of Google LLC.
