Chairs for Charity: Calgary
This spring, Contemporary Office Interiors, in partnership with Eames Office and MillerKnoll Canada, brought the Chairs for Charity competition to Calgary—uniting the city’s top design studios in a creative celebration of community and craft. Centered around the iconic Eames Molded Plastic Side Chair, the event invited participating firms to transform this classic silhouette into one-of-a-kind works of art.
Among the submissions was Strength and Grace by iN STUDIO—a sculptural reinterpretation exploring themes of balance and duality through fluid lines and grounded materials. This year’s collection featured a total of nine reimagined chairs, each reflecting the bold ideas and design excellence of Calgary’s creative community.
The initiative raised $2,500 in support of scholarships for aspiring interior designers at Mount Royal University. Funds were directed through Primarily It’s a Party, helping remove financial barriers for students from limited-resource backgrounds and supporting greater access to design education.
iN STUDIO is proud to contribute to the future of our industry and to join a community of designers who believe in the power of design to make a difference. To see all final bids and submissions, visit: 32auctions.com/COI-Chairs4Charity
